One of the many ways we show our furry friends love is by feeding them. They gaze longingly (and unabashedly!) until we give in and feed them some kibbles, treats, or even table scraps, and then turn those big adoring eyes to ours. Wow! We get such a feeling of being loved when they look at us like that! Who could resist? Who would want to?
The downside to this display of love is the heartbreak you see when an obese pet struggles to stand, can no longer groom themselves, gets diagnosed with diabetes or develops arthritis.
We can help from a nutritional and behaviour standpoint. Our goal is to increase the human-animal bond while helping your pet to feel his or her best! As the excess weight starts to come off, you'll see your pet becoming more active and engaged with you. There is nothing better than the feeling you get when your previously sedate pet is asking you to play!
